One family, one land, a living story.

Karamin was founded as a family business in Edremit in 1997. At the start we were a small olive oil workshop and a handful of partners. Here, the olive is not merely a product; it is a calendar, a neighbourliness and a memory. Waiting for the harvest, staying silent before the pressing, respecting the soil's own rhythm — these were not rules but traditions.

2009 was a turning point. That year we moved to a model of direct project partnership with farmers. Seed, fertilizer, training, auditing and a purchase guarantee in a single package; certification began as the natural result of that package. First Turkish organic, then equivalence processes for the EU, the UK, the USA, Japan and Germany were opened one after another.

Karamin's Production Philosophy

Organic production is not a piece of paper but a matter of years. Turkish organic grants the certificate in the third year; for the EU, the soil is remediated over four years.

Discipline

Time taught us something: patience is not a delay but a branch of production. No shipment before the certificate is complete, no pressing before the harvest ripens, no seed before the contract is finalized. Karamin's two branches — Mesut Tuna and Longhouse — share this rule.

Quality

Longhouse was born as a sister branch responding at once to the people of this land and to the European tiny-house market. With a production approach compliant with international standards, it sets out with CE and O4 certificates; because trust, for us, is an inseparable part of production.
